1.) Salt to Clean a Bong

Steps to Use Salt to Clean:

  • It is quite necessary to separate the parts of bong before cleaning.
  • This is required, so that the every part can be cleaned easily.
  • Take away all the movable parts, particularly the mouthpiece and bowl.
  • Clean as much of the bong with the tap water first and then wait for its drying.
  • It will be more beneficial, if you use hot water to clean the bong without breaking the bong.
  • Drop some salt or Epsom salt into the mouthpiece or bowl. You can also take the help of a funnel to drop some salt.
  • The amount of salt required totally depends on the size of the bong.
  • About half a cup of salt is needed for an average bong.
  • Close all the openings with your hands to keep the salt from coming out.
  • Now, shake for a few minutes. The more you shake, the better is cleaning of bong will be done.
  • Empty the cleaning salt into a sink and wash it out entirely. Repeat the scrubbing method as much as you require to, however once is usually sufficient.
  • Rinse your bong regularly to lower the amount of cleaning time.
  • Take the use of pipe cleaners, Q-tips and test tube cleaners to remove any scrub from the areas of the bong that are hidden.

2.) Alcohol to Clean a Bong

  • Remove the parts of bong and put it safely.
  • Clean these parts with lukewarm water and dry them.
  • Pour in a good amount of alcohol or cleaning solution. The amount of alcohol will be determined by the size of your bong. One cup of alcohol is sufficient to clean a bong but you will need to test.
  • Some people use detergent in place of the alcohol to clean a bong. You can also use the Listerine to clean a bong.
  • Close all the openings of your bong with your hands to avoid the alcohol from coming out.
  • Now, shake hard for a few minutes. The hard you shake, the better the bong will be cleaned.
  • Empty the alcohol into a sink and remove it entirely. Repeat the scrubbing method as much as you wish to, however once is usually sufficient.
  • Rinse your bong on a weekly basis to lower the amount of cleaning time.

3.) Hanger to Clean a Bong

  • Hold the bong carefully and separate it into pieces.
  • Use hot water to clean the pieces of the bong.
  • Bend a coat hanger in half and then give it a few turns to stiffen it up.
  • Bend paper towels or cloth and roll them onto your turned coat hanger, just make sure that the paper towels spread beyond the edge of the coat hanger.
  • Tie the paper towels or cloth strongly to the coat hanger with a flexible band.
  • Turn the end of the turned hanger into the shape of the alphabet J.
  • Soak the cloth or paper towels tied on the hanger in alcohol or another cleaning solution you wish.
  • Scrub the hanger up and down everywhere the inside walls of your bong to remove tough stains. Alter the position of the hanger as required to get into the crannies and nooks.

4.) Hydrogen Peroxide to Clean a Bong

Steps to Use Hydrogen Peroxide:

  • Hydrogen peroxide is a popular cleaning agent used to clean not only bong but also other stuffs like clothes, glass and granite.
  • Pour some hydrogen peroxide in the bong according to the size of bong.
  • Shake the bong well to remove all the stains present inside the bong.
  • Make sure you have worn the rubber gloves before using the hydrogen peroxide.
  • Hydrogen peroxide is highly reactive and can burn the skin.
  • After shaking well, remove the hydrogen peroxide in the drain.
  • Clean the bong with tap water and see if any stains are left or not.
  • Follow the same process again, if any stains are still left in the bong.

5.) Vinegar to Clean a Bong

Vinegar to Clean a Bong:

  • Vinegar is a renowned cleaning agent used to clean bong as well as other stuffs like bags, clothes, glass and granite.
  • Pour some raw vinegar in the bong according to the size of bong.
  • Shake the bong well to eliminate all the stains present inside the bong.
  • After shaking well, remove the vinegar in the drain.
  • Clean the bong with tap water and see if any stains are left or not.
  • You can also use brush to scrub the stains present in the bong.
  • Follow the same process again, if any stains are still left in the bong.
