1.) Baking Soda to Clean Bathtub

  • To get rid of gunk and dirt from your bathtub, you will need to make a paste using baking soda, hydrogen peroxide.
  • For this, mix two parts baking soda with one part hydrogen peroxide.
  • Apply the paste all over the bathtub, especially on the area with stain and dirt.
  • Allow the paste to sit for about half an hour.
  • Then, scrub the area thoroughly until all the stains are gone. Then rinse well.
  • The paste will also help clean the drain when flushed down.

2.) Cream of Tartar to Clean Bathtub

Steps to Follow:

  • In this method, you will need to use a mixed solution of cream of tartar and hydrogen peroxide to remove stains.
  • You can start by filling a small, shallow cup or a dish with cream of tartar and add a sufficient amount of hydrogen peroxide to make a thick paste.
  • Now, apply this thick paste on the stained area and leaved it to get dry.
  • Later when you will remove the dried paste, you will find that all stains are gone as well.

3.) Oven Cleaner to Clean Bathtub

  • To get rid of stubborn stains from your white porcelain tub, oven cleaner is an ideal solution.
  • Here you will need to spray your bathtub with oven cleaner.
  • Allow the solution to sit on the bathtub for a couple of hours.
  • Next, you will need to rinse the area thoroughly to get rid of dirt, stains and oven cleaner residue.
  • NOTE: Do not apply the oven cleaner on a colored porcelain tubs. This is because it may result in fading. Plus, be careful when spraying this solution as you don’t want it to get on your shower curtain. It can damage both plastic and fabric.

4.) Salt to Clean Bathtub

  • In order to remove yellow spots from your enamel bathtub you can use salt to the job.
  • For this method, you will need to mix up salt and turpentine in equal amount.
  • Now, you will need to rub away the discoloration of your bathtub. But, remember to wear rubber gloves before you apply the solution.
  • Rinse it thoroughly after leaving it for a couple of minutes. Also, remember to ventilate the bathroom when performing this task.

5.) Vinegar to Clean Bathtub

Steps to Follow:

  • To get the shine back on your porcelain bathtubs, you will need to use vinegar.
  • In this method, you will need to scrub the stained parts of your bathtub using a sufficient amount of vinegar.
  • Leave it for a minute before you rinse the area using clean cold water.
  • In case of hard-water stains, you will need to pour three cups white vinegar under running hot tap water.
  • Let your bath tub get filled up over the stains.
  • And, let the solution filled for about four hours.
  • After that, when you will drain out the water, you should be able to scrub off the stains quite easily.
