1.) Rubbing Alcohol to Remove Ink from Clothes

Rubbing alcohol can come handy when you are looking to remove ink from cloths. It is easily available on drugstore or hardware store. As long as the stains have not set, rubbing alcohol is an ideal solution. The alcohol helps neutralize the pigment in the ink so it disappears easily. You can either soak your stained garment in rubbing alcohol, then wash is normally, or you can use the following process:

Directions:

  • Take a clean cotton swab and soak it in rubbing alcohol.
  • Now, you just need to dab the soaked up ink stain using the cotton swab.
  • Repeat this step each time using a fresh cotton swab, as many times as required.
  • Now, take another fresh cotton swab and soak it into cold water.
  • Next, dab the area to get rid of the alcohol from the fabric.
  • Leave the area to get dry. Then wash the garment as normal.

2.) Ammonia to Remove Ink from Clothes

Ammonia is another great solution to remove ink from non-synthetic garments. This method is easy, simple and effective. Here are the directions.

Directions:

  • For this method you will need mix two parts of rubbing alcohol to one part of cloudy ammonia.
  • Soak a cotton swab in the mixture and dab the stained part with it.
  • Then add vinegar in water and soak a cotton swab in it.
  • Dab the area again with vinegar soaked cotton swab to neutralize the ammonia.
  • Finally, wash as usual.

3.) Hairspray to Remove Ink from Clothes

Hairspray can also be used to get rid of ink from clothes. It helps by dissolving the ink, making it easier to remove the ink out of the material.

Directions:

  • Take a paper towel and put it under the stain.
  • Spray a fine amount of hairspray to the stain.
  • Spray it evenly until the stain is completed saturated with hairspray.
  • Now, blot the stain using a damp cloth (avoid rubbing).
  • Repeat the application and blot the mark until it is completely removed. Then wash normally.
  • Make sure you have removed all the ink before you dry the washed garment.

4.) Milk to Remove Ink Stains from Clothes

There are numerous methods to use milk to get rid of ink stains. These are listed below.

Directions:

  • Cold milk: After you have dab the fresh ink using some paper towels, soak the stain area in a bowl filled with cold milk. Leave it for half an hour. Wash normally.
  • Warm Milk: Take some lukewarm milk and pour it in a suitable container. Soak the stained area in the lukewarm milk. Rinse the garment after soaking. Wash the garment as usual.
  • Rotten Milk Solids: Pour some milk in a container and place it in the sunny area to rot. When it becomes lumpy and smelly, you can use it. Take a wide bowl and using your fingers, pick some of the lumpy pieces. Apply these pieces directly on the ink stain. Once you notice the ink getting into the lump, shake the lumps out from the fabric. Now, immerse bathroom soap into cold water and rub the stain with it. Once the stain is gone, rinse the area off using cold water to get rid of soap residue. Wash normally afterwards.

5.) Glycerin to Remove Ink from Clothes

Glycerin is another fine ingredient which can help remove ink stains from the clothes.

Directions:

  • For this method, you will need to warm the glycerin slightly to make it lukewarm.
  • Apply this lukewarm glycerin to the stained area. Wait for a few seconds.
  • Rinse the area with water.
  • The ink mark should come off.
