- Another easiest way to clean an oven is using ammonia.
- For this method, you will need to turn the oven to get hot to 150 Degree Fahrenheit or 65 Degree Celsius and turn it off.
- Now, keep a small bowl filled with half cup of ammonia on the top shelf. While on the bottom shelf, keep a large pan of boiling water.
- Now, shut the oven door and leave it overnight.
- Next morning, take out the dish and pan, and leave the oven air out for a while.
- Then using a combination of ammonia and a few drops of dishwashing liquid in a quart of warm water, wipe the interior of the oven.
- You may notice that you can get rid of even the old burned-on grease very easily.
- Never to use this method on a gas oven unless the pilot lights are out and the main gas lines are closed.
- You can get rid of the cooked-on grime from your oven racks by keeping them out on an old rag in a big washtub.
- You can use your bathtub as well, though you will need to clean the tub afterward.
